Hey how are you! Are you here to get to know me through my love for Arts? Let me introduce myself… I am MissLady Rain, but everybody knows me by the name of Rain in this painting life. I am a self-taught artist passionate about acrylic painting on canvas. My artistic journey began after a life-altering experience. In March 2017, I had a bad brain concussion after falling on black ice. During my cognitive rehabilitation program, my specialist asked me if I was good at drawing or painting.
I answered that I was not good at drawing but was ready to try painting. This event sparked an insatiable passion for art within me, leading me to explore the great world of painting.
Inspiration and creative process :
My creative process is deeply influenced by the images surrounding me. I draw inspiration from various sources such as images found online, advertisements, environment, experiences, and photographs, which I transform and reinvent to create unique compositions on canvas. Each piece is the result of visual and emotional exploration, where I enjoy playing with shapes, colors, imagination, and textures.
Themes and motifs :
My artworks explore a variety of themes and motifs, reflecting my fascination with the world around me. From serene nature to dynamic urban landscapes, expressive portraits, taboos, empowerment, and vibrant abstractions, each painting tells a unique story. I also love experimenting with contrasts and juxtapositions, creating bold and captivating compositions.
